A 1 I. l ..---..-..---a------- I 'Q -,D FD .f zinciflaps assays Every class that enters or graduates from A.C.H.S. gamers a reputation that can be either good, bad , or indifferent. Educators always condemn this practice of pre- judgement or group association. In truth, it is easy to establish but difficult to mod- ify the general estimation others have for you. The Class of 1978 has succeeded where others faltered and yielded to negative influences acting upon their own self- esteem. I must confess to labeling the class during those first few weeks we were freshman together back in the fall of 1974. I was new and you were coming off two formative years in the Junior High wing. Since then several students have taken on the responsibilities of leadership. Through cajolery, coercion, and good common sense they have refined your col- lective image to include such terms as: hardworking, school-spirited, responsible, and willing to profit from mistakes. It is a record to be proud of. As I complete my message for your yearbook, I feel sure it will be an excellent annual. Next June's graduation will be a continuance of your education. There is much you have learned here. Regretfully, there is a great deal you have missed. It is the hope of those responsible for your education that we have also learned from our mis- takes.
