Message You are at the threshold of life, after spending four years in Ashland Community High School. You have had the opportunity of getting one of the best high school educations possible in the state. in an accredited institution, housed in a new building, with some of the finest facilities that it is possible to buy. Your parents, along with the other citizens of the district, have made this possible for you at great sacrifice. You have had the benefit of finely educated, well prepared teachers. The advantage you have gained from these benefits has been your own decision. High school has been like life, in many ways, Like anything else, you have received only as much as you have put into it. You will find it always thus. A man is judged by what he is. He is what he is because of his training, whether it be by parents or by school. Exposure to the right kind of training does not necessarily mean that it has been assimi- lated. That depends and has depended- on you. I wish all of you all the success, honor, and fortune that you have the will. ability or training to wrest from the world in which you are going to live. Prinezkzalis' ,Message You, as a member of the Class of 1957, have just completed five years of attend- ance and study at this school and are about to begin a new phase of your life. Wherever your course may take you and whatever the task you undertake, you will need to apply the knowledge and skills you have learned here at Ashland Community High School. You who are undergraduates should avail yourselves of the opportunity of acquiring those fundamental skills and principles needed in adult life. The next few years will be very important in helping you establish the pattern of your life. We of the faculty are here to help you in this important step. Each individual sets his own standard. Remember to set your standards high. May everyone enjoy his remaining school years and be successful in life.
