SENIOR CLASS HISTORY The time September 1935 the place Ashland high school To many this was only the opening of a new school xear but to thirty nine wide eyed freshmen It meant the beginning of a new stage of life Time passed quickly and these eager students soon learned all the hooks and crook of high school life Early in the fall they elected Bob -Xggertt to pilot their plane through 1fS first Journey lhe way w as smooth and storms mild as they reached the hanger with few blemishes and shipshape for '1 slightly more difflcult second voyage Refreshed by the summer vw 3.t10Il this small group re entered the portals to be gm their sophomore year With Pob -Xggeitt again as their ringleader they wander ed through the realms of geon ctlx latin history and English Larly 1n the fall of their Junior tear faithful lefty was chosen to reign another Skidmore The play was a financial success lhe following spring the Juniors trans ported the seniors to the -Xb: 1h im Lincoln Hotel in Springfield for the Junior Senior Banquet fo the baseball team this class donated I3 -Xf,,ge1tt E Mullen Robinson Caswell Blakeman and G Qumley In the xanlls of the basketball team were found G Quin ley Mullen, Robinson B Aggeztt H zkeman and Caswell Harriet 'Hillel recen ed honors in music As they entered their semor year Lefty was elected to lead them on the home stretch Glenn Qulnley Sidney Campbell and lrlliott Johnson were also elected to offlces Broken D1shes was presented in April Four years had been mvested ln gainlng an educatwn Future years will reveal the advisability of such an investment Class color Blue and white Class flower American beauty rose Class motto Graduat1on what nextq Seven li.,- ' 1 , 9 . .
