Our dream will become reality either in the shape shown or in some other form. However, behind this dream there are facts, facts resulting from the growth of our institu- tion and from the increased service we hope to render. Plans change, and we do not know whether we have seen the shape of things to come accurately or not. But we do feel that man errs al- ways on the side of too little vision rather than too much. A growing school grows tradition. During the past year, the students of Asheville-Buncombe have selected a class ring with a school seal and have chosen school colors of burgundy and gold. Also, Abner Teckins became the official mascot of this institution by vote of the student body. Abner Teckins is that quaint, tongue-in-cheek character who has appeared, like a friendly ghost, on the
