Liprary SERVES AS A SOURCE Of Information Containing numerous books, maga- zines, and audio-visual materials, the Asheboro High School library served as a central information source. Miss Katherine Buie, Mrs. Betty Presnell, and their assistants helpfully guided interested students in their search for appropriate materials. Even though there was a lack of adequate storage space, students and faculty used the facilities to a maximum degree. “Gee, I wish I could read,” sighs Rhonda McGill. It has to be here! zo

Romantic MaorRIO Revealed to Youthful Spaniards ees ee peel peo cen ‘cones nd — oe’ ed ‘wooo eed pone wooo a md “ The Turtle, alias Mr. Jarrett, entertains his Spanish class. 27 For 55 minutes Monday through Friday, 260 students journeyed from the classrooms of Asheboro High School into the midst of the wonders and glories of Spain. Romantic Madrid, sounds of Granada, the beauty of the Pyrenees, and the elec- tricity of the bullfights were re- vealed to youthful Spaniards. And yet, there remained the drudgery of drills, conjugation of verbs, and construction of basic sentences. But surely this was a small price to pay for a trip to Spain. =) Ole
