.• - . Asheboro, No V i Like the birth of o new song, we began weakly; but as the years of learning rolled by, we built into a completed composition—a symphony of Life. The memories of our high school years of composing are as wonderful to us as the works of the Old Masters. In this edition of the ASH-HI-LIFE we strive to recall the memories of those years. Though passed, they shall live forever in our hearts for Life is the song We sing together Through the ASH-HI-LIFE. BETSY AND JETTIE Dedication 3 Faculty 4-8 Classes Seniors 10-36 In Memoriam 37 Superlatives 38-46 Underclassmen 48-64 Activities 65-84 Athletics 85-94 Statistics, Ads 113-120 During our days at A. H. S. we have come to know a teacher and a friend who has always been ready to help us when we have been discouraged. Patiently she works from year to year teaching us good sportsmanship and leadership. Diligently she has trained us mentally and physically to be our best. In appreciation for her work with us as individuals and as part of our teams, we dedicate this edition of the Ash-Hi-Life to our beloved coach, Miss Angelyn Glisson. For three years we have known and loved a man who has been more than a teacher to us. His friendliness and helpfulness have been an inspiration to all. Those students who have been privileged to work with him on such activities as the Junior Play and the Annual Staff have found that he is a fine individual. As a small token of thanks, we dedicate this edition of the Ash-Hi-Life to Mr. L. V. Godwin. DfDICflTIOn i ■ ■ 3 ADMINISTRATION DR. JOSEPH M. JOHNSTON Principal MRS. MILDRED CHRISCO Secretary GUY B.
