'49 Captain g XVilliam Page i l Panther Stadium Coach Buddy Parker Despite the average record of 4 wins and 6 losses, the '49 season can be termed a successful one because the Panthers were under handicap in nearly all of the contests due to injuries to regulars. The Cats had more than their share of injuries, and despite this streak of bad luck, continued to play an excellent brand of football. Much credit for the football played this season goes to Coach Buddy Parker, who piloted the Panthers for his third season.
