A UMNI AFFAIRS Dey elopment Office My Iirst yeftr at Ashbury College has been a very busy one. ln Oc- tober of 1947. we held the 'tnnual Old Boys Weekend. February saw many 'ilumni reuniting to enjoy a super Valentine s Day dinner dance. Much of my ene rgy went into getting to know the students at- tending Ashbury now. They are our alumni ofthe future and it is im- portant to make meaningful connection with them before they graduate. I enjoyed working with the students preparing for the Black and White Nieht tAshburn staffl. the Vive la Difference Fashion Show tFrench department and studentsl. and the Grad Night tGrad Committeej. I look forward to more involvement in school ac- tivities next year. Presently. Martin Connell. President of the Alumni Association and l are working on an old boys and girls directory. This directory will be given free of charge to anyone who attended Ashbury and it will Plans are underway for reunions at various universities in the fall of 1988. I would also like to offer an evening event in May following the old boys rugby game. May is a perfect time for reunions since so many university students have returned to Ottawa for the summer. l am proud to say that there are six energetic and dedicated class rep' resentatiyes from the class of 1988 who will be keeping the fellow classmates informed and united.
