'l'll If .-ISIIBURIAIN' ll XVICDDINGS ln the School Chapel, on August 22nd of last vear the marriage was solemnized between Nancy Ruth Perry, younger daughter of the leleadmaster, and Walter lf. Zeltner, of Laifayette llill, Pa., Dean Anderson ofliciating. The reception was held in the lleadmaster's garden. l llCAl,Tl l livery year seems to bring its minor epidemic that upsets the usual calm of the Dispensary. Last year it was Asian 'Hu and this year it was a mild outbreak of stomach 'flu that laid up a good many boys for several days in tif' rrte RF the winter term. Apart from this and the afjfgj K . bl. , usual assortment of ingrown toenails, . it X athlete's foot, and the like, the health of W fill? the School has been excellent. Though it was valiantly resisted by some -Iuniors, fff., gy? the program of polio vaccination was Xgy 1, fQffi7 xX, continued and everyone received another 1 1' g. injection this Spring. Xluch credit goes 7 to our medical staff, and particularly to .Nliss Bray, for the good health of tfie Schooi. A CAREER SERIIQS Once again the practice of having eminent men in various walks of life come and give a short talk outlining the qualifications and rewards of their respective fields was continued. This has been found to be of great help to the boys. especially the more senior ones, in evaluating their potentialities and in gaining an insight into the many branches of industry, the professions, and the armed forces. This year we heard from: Lieut. R. lYilson -The Navy Dr. XY. H. Hatcher-Science Dr. P. Nlilman -Astronomical and Space Research RIDING This year, as a popular innovation, equitation was taken at the stables of Dr. Hudson, who made his horses available to the boys of the School. The idea proved extremely popular and the first greenhorns setting off with smiling faces, came back with .bowed legs in April. Though most people on their preliminary excursions wished desperately that they had a Western-type saddle horn to cling to, everyone could soon trot, amble, canter, gallop, jog, bounce, and fall with the best. Vic hope that this exercise will be available again next year.
