New School Building FOREWORD The publication of this yearbook has been a challenge to all of us. And now that we present this Second Edition of the Ace” we are proud of what this work has meant to us. It has required the co-operation of the Board of Education, the entire faculty, students, and those who have contrib- uted their support through advertisements. We wish to thank you who have helped us. And may we assure you that in selecting the theme of Knighthood” for our an- nual we are expressing our aspirations for the years to come; To the Knights in the Jays of old, keeping watch o’er the mountain height, Came a vision of the Holy Grail, and a voice through the waiting night— Follow, follow, follow the gleam of the night that shall bring the dawn.” The challenge of higher learning, adventure, and new worlds to conquer lies immediately before the members of the Senior Class. May they ever follow the gleam of the night that shall bring the dawn! v Dr. G. C. McKenzie Chairwan Board of luliti a ion DEDICATION Because lie has never failed to support our school and its various interests, we are happy to dedicate the Second Edition of the Ace” to Dr. Gordon C. McKenzie. His faithfulness has been an inspiration to us. In behalf of the entire student body and faculty, we express sincerely our appreciation to him. SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE To the Seniors: Your work is just beginning. In a very short time you will be called upon to make your contribution to an ever-changing world. With these changes come problems, and you are to offer the solutions. This means that you must be on the alert and have faith in human ability to cope successfully with these progressive steps. Strive constantly and continuously to develop traits of character that will make of you a person who is able and also disposed to work things out in imagination before trying them in action: one who is steady and calm in new and complex situations: one who is ready and willing to face life's greatest tasks.
