M X 'Bmw THROWDOW When most people think of wrestling they often associate it with the typical tele- vision wrestlers like Rick Flair, Wahoo McDaniel, Dusty Rhodes, and Blackjack Mulligan. Ashbrook wrestling, however, is an entirely different sport. Ashbrook wrestling involves discipline. Team members may have to go on strict diets to qualify for a lower weight class. Practice is also a key factor in pinning oppo- nents. Wrestlers must master various holds and strategies to gain an advantage. They also lift weights and endure grueling wor- kouts to achieve physical fitness and strength. But, winning requires more than strength. Coach Bill Eccles knows that to win, his wrestlers must be mentally tough deter- mined, and willing to give 1002.
