Dedicated to his own goals and dreams one gives of himself wholly and completely. In the process of achiev- ing he develops in himself the qualities that other people admire Patience preciseness friendliness and leadership are only a few of these qualities. Eventually others look to him for guidance confidence advice and sometimes just a reassurance that they are doing something right. He becomes an object of respect to those who know him. One does not get respect until he has earned it and he earns it through dedication to his tasks. Often these tasks are numerous and involve a great deal of time. Coaching a golf team teaching driver s education and organizing and training a basketball team are examples of such time-consuming tasks. In acquiring these ac- complishments one must overcome obstacles endure trials and sometimes bear the pain of failure. Last year the Green Wave basketball team was only one game away from being the State Champs when they lost to a cross-town rival. The man who stood behind that team knew the frustration of an almost acquired goal. Although the ultimate was unattained he had the satisfaction of knowing that he had dedicated himself to a purpose and had done his best to succeed. Reaching out working striving and attaining made this individual a man deserving of praise. He is one others look to for inspiration in acquiring their own goals.
