After one year, he came to Ashley High School as head baseball and assistant football coach. Coach Cline remained at these two posi- tions when Ashbrook opened in 1970. After coaching many suc- cessful teams, including a State Championship baseball team in 1957 Coach Cline in the spring of 1977 retired his coaching shoes. As a coach and friend he has taught many players not only sports but also the values of life. Coach Cline will truly be missed on the baseball diamond and foot- ball field in the years to come.
