E who follows fhe way of peace and holiness does nof find himself exempf from change, for life is change. One of fhe biggesf changes he will experience occurs when fhe high school feen ager finds himself-abrupfly-a college man. Perhaps he doesn'f realize fhe significance of fhis conversafion as he sfands for fhe firsf 'rime overlooking Asbury Campus. Home, family, and friends are sfill foo real in his memory. Even less can he anficipafe fhe change hidden in fhe nexf four years. As fhe quarfers sneak easily by, he'll sfop many fimes in a favored spof fo nofe fhe differences he sees abouf him: fhe scarlef free beside Hughes, fhe rain and snow of gray winfer days, and fhe benches shyly invifing couples fo fhe semi-circle every dew-born spring. Buf perhaps 'rhe biggesf changes he will nofice will be fhe less obvious ones. Hours sPen'r in work and play, alone or wifh friends, open up new areas of fhinking and appreciafion for his alerf mind. Physical, menfal, and social fransformafion are meaningless, however, unless fhey are balanced by a spirifual expansion. The keen observer soon recognizes in fhe midsf of all fhis change one unchanging absolufe-fhe immufabilify of an efernal God. He who learns fhaf God is unalfering has a premise in which fo grip his life, sfeadied in fhe knowledge fhaf fhroughouf fhe variables of fime, God consfanf will re- main.
