ATTer dark They reTurned, having spenT a pleasanT day aT High Bridge. Dr. WaTkins didn'T know iusT how To handle The siTuaTion, buT EARLY STUDENT BODY To declare a day oT ouTing Tor The enTire school. Thus anoTher cusTom was esTablished. On Those memorable ouTing days ThaT Tollowed in laTer years, places Trom l-ligh Bridge To Camp Nelson were visiTed by The sTudenTs. 'Some- Times a Tew would Take a boaT ride TiTTeen miles up The KenTucky River To Daniel Boone's Cave, oThers would go Tor a hay ride, and sTill oThers would sTarT oTT Tor a moToring Trip in a car ThaT did noT promise To carry Them beyond The ciTy limiTs wiThouT breaking down.
