It is the purpose of the Asbury Conservatory of Music to develop scholarly musicians and artists. All courses are designed to give the students the broadest possible culture and the opportunity to become thoroughly equipped as soloists and teachers. The recitals given by those who are receiving diplomas and degrees give much pleasure both to the students and to the people of the town. The music for chapel services and for other gatherings on the campus is furnished by members of the Con- servatory. The purpose of this club is to establish a better spirit of friendliness, and to strengthen the ideals of Christian living in college as well as in pro- fessional life. Dean J. B. Kenyon and Mr. W. W. Cary, business manager of the College, have very ably sponsored Synedria this year ; proving by their lives to be a real source of inspiration to the men of the club. Topics of general and vital interest are discussed in the weekly meet- ings, which are open to every college layman. Here from time to time, noted men, who are authorities in the various fields, are invited to speak, thus adding a real contribution to Asbury ' s life. Macrory Tennis With each succeeding year, tennis has grown in popularity among the students of Asbury College. It is recognized as one of the most profitable as well as enjoyable of sports, and the fall and spring tournaments are met with much enthusiasm. The Men ' s and Women ' s Singles were won by M.
