Executives: Roger Smith, James Mason, Grace Harris, Ernest Laddle, Genevieve Blowers. :I The Missionary Prayer Band is an organization which seeks to maintain and further the cause of world-wide missionary interest on the campus. It attempts to do this in various ways. The most important wayis through prayer. Each noon 12:30 - 1:00, Tuesday through Friday, students gath- er to hear prayer requests from missionaries. They then go to their knees in prayer. They welcome prayer requests for missionaries at home and abroad . A second aspect of its work is the raising of funds to help alumni and associate alumni who are on the field . Substantial gifts are distributed among several missionaries each quarter. Usually Si,000 or more per quarter is raised for this purpose. Other projects, such as clothing for needy Koreans, are sponsored from time to time. 2-0fAe,.A0.,J The Christian Service Brotherhood is astudent organization which seeks places of Christian service throughoutthe surround- ing areas and places students in these opportune places. This year work has been carried on in two jails, two Tuberculosis hospitals, the Greendale reform school, and other places . Many are out regularly under the Brotherhood's program, and many others are used occasionally in special types of partici- pation. The program is based upon our present obligation to serve Christ, and on the premise that we learn best while we actively participate in Christian service. Experience is afford- ed in activities that range from preaching and teaching to sing- ing and testifying. Experience in organizing and leading and co-laboring come as valuable assets to those who take part. Many are converted and encouraged through this ministry which is essentially a sour-winning task.
