Victory on the homefield and a celebra- ion dance finished the busy week of Home- coming. The student body chose three senior girls as the Homecoming royalty for 1972. A secret ballot cast by members of he football squad chose the queen from the three girls. Judges for the poster contest were Mrs. Mann, Mrs. Holmes, and Mrs. Deming. Dale Lenz was master of cere- monies for the afternoon. Crownbearers were Michelle Kasperson and Bradley Maasen. Various skits were presented by he A-Club. Guest speakers were two alum ni football players, Tom Jahde and Mark Segebart. First place in the poster contest went to the Seniors, second place--Sopho- mores, and third place--Juniors. Lanette Eck was named second attendant and was seated by her escort Randy Muhlbauer. First attendant, Dena Ballantine was es- corted to her chair by Rodney Koch. Lyle Podey then presented Queen Sheryl with the game ball, a dozen roses, and escorted her to her throne. After a spirited pep meeting, Queen Sheryl and her attendants reigned over the football festivities and dance that evening. The Rockets defeated Irwin 30-8. After the game the student council sponsored a dance with music by Rush. This ended Homecoming '72.
