The cruel circumstance of his assassination deeply marred the school year of 1963-1964. It was our beginning but it was the end for a man who vigorously displayed the value of a sound education. Dear Miss Heintz and Miss Watson: I have been asked to respond to your letter to Mrs. Kennedy of November 2Uth. Mrs. Kennedy is deeply grateful for the hundreds of thousands of messages, which she has received, and she regrets very much that she cannot personally respond to each one. I am pleased to be able to enclose a photograph of President Kennedy, and I wish to express to you Mrs. Kennedy's appreciation of your gesture of tribute to the late President. Sincerely, Pamela Turnure Secretary to Mrs. Kennedy WE STARTED A 2 NEW SCHOOL SENIOR CLASS OF 1964 PRESIDENT Mike Boehm C L A S S VICE-PRESIDENT Richard Purdham SEC-TREAS 4 Blakemore, Ralph Blasko, Catherine Boehm, Mike Branchaw, Beverly Bredenberg, James Brown, Charles Adair, Lester Applehans, Joe Avram, Jerry Baker, Carol Ann Balding, Myra Beach, Theron 5 Croy, Allen Croy, Mike Day, Donna Dechert, William Dieterle, Cindy Dike, Roland Enderle, Marshall 6 Hall, Brian Heintz, Kathi Hollembeak, Claudia Horvath, Gregory Hoskinson, Barbara Huffman, Lou Ellen Hurley, Pat 7 Lofland, Tom Malara, Nick Maston, Roger McCarthy, Marilou Miller, Mary Ann Michel, George Isles, John Johnson, Jean Johnson, Jim Jones, Peg Kauffman, Judy Kaye, Hank 8 Pfeifer, Phillip Pettys, Sharon Prieskorn, Vicki Purdham, Richard Ramsey, Bob Ramstetter, Gary Morgan, Pat Mortensen, Gunther Nowak, William Opie, Sharon Patterson, Bmce Pedigo, Kaaren 9 Sexton, Mike Sandusky, Larry Sheya, Janet Schlepp, Becky Shirley, Jon Reisbeck, Louise Ricketts, Robert Richards, Ted Roberts, David Rodd, Ralph Rodewald, John Thompson, Tom Staley, Scott Stewart, Ronald Trowbridge, Rick Strohmeyer, Stan Weston, Fred Whipple, Joseph Watson Barbara White, Carolyn Mike Weaver 11 Wilcox, Robert Young, Linda Whitworth, Sandra Wiebe, Barbara Wilkinson, Judy Wittke, Mary Lou Wright, Jay 12 13 ORGANIZATIONS The Arvada West High Pep Club and Drill Team was sponsored by Mrs. Sandra Olson and Miss Sonja Halverson.
