Anglln Carl Ashley. Mary Rita T ansfer Student frcrn P. H A. 1 o Latin Club 4 Dear Diary: Graduation is almost herel Nearly four years have passed! So much has happened since we walked into this school as 'green Freshiesf' Remember all the initiations we went through? We had our Round-up, but it wasn't as mild then as it is today. We vowed vengeance if we ever had an opportunity! Then we became Sophomoresl Oh myl What a thrill it was to have someone to lord it over. VVe had been the underdogs for so long, it seemed. Our hay ride, made unforgetable by mud and rain, did not seem to bode much success for us, but we made it to Pankey's woods and back. With Great Ceasar's Ghost, we marked a turning point in the tide of our affairs. Not only were we half way through our academic journey, but we began to enjoy and enter into school activities to a greater extent. Having the prize winning homecoming float, 'The '49er, and sponsoring a highly success- ful banquet and prom climaxed this memorable year. Seniors! This was what we had been waiting for. There wasnt too much time to think of this, however. Stunt Night, decorating the gym for the last time, l'Let's Snow Sullivan, selling ads, subscriptions, cokes, candy, and turkey raffle tickets--just to mention a few of our activities. No wonder we're tiredl It's a lazy, contented sort of feeling to stop and review the past, though. Won- der what the future holds for us? Guess wed better be thankful for the memories and leave the prophecies for the oracles.
