French Club sponsors International Dinner Foreign Language clubs offered many students an opportunity to learn more about the country and language they studied in the classroom. German Club members visited Frankenmuth to tour some of the typically German business establishments. The group enjoyed a chicken dinner at the Bavarian Inn and sang German Christmas Carols later in the evening. Mrs. Elenore Zeile entertained members with slides taken on a recent trip through Germany. Spanish Club planned a sleigh ride during the year. A Pinata Party, a Spanish Christmas tradition, was held at a member’s home. The Club also attended a Saginaw Gears hockey game and sponsored the “Ugly Legs Contest” for men teachers during Blue and Gold Week. French Club sponsored the International Dinner in February. Members of all three language clubs combined efforts and membership for the International Dinner. Each club member brought food representative of French, German or Spanish cooking. Legenda 29 | | |
