Lack of enthusiasm cuts back assemblies Due to the lack of student interest, mechanical problems, and the time schedule of the Career Opportunities Center, attendance at the assem- blies declined considerably according to Mr. Richard Jenson, stage coordinator. Senior Bob Miller, chairman of student activ- ities, said, “The Student Cabinet is trying to make assemblies more interesting so more students will come.” Among the assemblies was a group of singers, The Connection, sponsored by Campus Life, a religious organization. Another program tried to interest Hillites in Junior Achivement. A talent show was suggested by the seniors as a way of financing their trip. “If there’s interest, there’ll be assemblies,” said Mr. Jensen. Legenda 19

Plays offer challenges for student entertainers The 1972 musical production was the Rodgers and Hammerstein presentation of “Oklahoma!” The play complicated itself with a double love triangle. Curly (Junior Tom Borchard) and Jud (Senior Gene Wyman) loved Laurie (Junior Janine Kuehn). Will (Sophomore Irv Lichten- wald) loved Ado Annie (Senior Diane Demo) who loved Ali Hakim (Senior Craig Ma tthews).
