HALFTIME: Parades Shows Performing at the University of Michigan early in September was one of many highlights of the Marching Band season. The band also did a halftime show at Flint Northwestern’s stadium and participated in the I-675 bridge dedication in mid-October. Some formations performed at home football games included the Lumberjacks’ tree, the Great Pumpkin, and a dance to Louis Armstrong’s “‘Hello Dolly.” Hillite marchers attended the Veteran’s Day and Timbertown parades. A trophy was won in the Timbertown parade. Music played at the shows was arranged by band director, Richard E. Jensen, as were most of the formations. 11
