Homecoming Ceremonies Bad weather marred the beauty of Homecoming week this year at Arthur Hill. Rain and cold weather dampened the clothes, but not the spirits of the Homecoming Court and the many loyal Hillites who turned out for the game and dance. Thirteen girls seemed to float on “Cloud 9” during the 1967 Homecoming activities honoring them for their selection to the court. Mounds of ‘‘angel hair”’ helped transform the auditorium stage into a heavenly setting for the annual Homecoming-Pep assembly. Cynthia Braun reigned as queen. At the assembly Cindy was presented with the tra- ditional red roses. Mr. Randall Braun, Cindy’s father, was there to congratulate the queen and court. The dance, following the game, was also decorated in the “Cloud 9” theme. Count and the Colony pro- vided the music for dancing and entertainment. SENIOR FULLBACK, Mike Schwartz, runs through rain and mud at the 1967 Homecoming game. Fowler, Jane Middlebrook Ann Cortopassi, Martha Smith, and Connie DELIGHT AND WONDER are expressed by Susan Pinnell, Jane Frick. Middlebrook and Mary Hamather after being chosen for the Court. 21

LINDA COLINDRES and Tom Byrne casually ‘‘sit this one out!” CREPE-PAPER covers everyone while decorating for the Prom. Prom Time Joyful Juniors Dance “‘Over the Rainbow”’ A colorful rainbow ending in the familiar “‘pot of gold” decorated part of the gymnasium at the 1967 Junior Prom. An overhead false ceiling was of white and yellow crepe-paper streamers. Dividing the gym in- to two separate areas, one for dancing and one for re- freshments, was a bright wall of pastel-colored stream- ers. Scattered on the other walls were large paper flowers lending a spring-like atmosphere to the occasion. These bright decorations were the result of the original ideas and hard work of the decoration committee headed by Jane Middlebrook. Music was provided by the popular group, The Paupers, all Arthur Hill students. They were hired by Mr. Parnell Tardy, the teacher adviser, and David Mc- Mullin, the prom chairman. The refreshment committee served both soda pop and potato chips to the hungry dancers. Ticket sales were organized by Marie Richter. The 1967 Junior Prom provided an opportunity for all attending to obtain many enchanting and delightful memories. WHILE ATTENDING the Junior Prom, Barbara Schaffer and Bernard Baron momentarily pause from their dancing to talk. 23
