Arthur Hill by Wolfgang For an American student it is just an experience to become a Hillite. But do you know how exciting it is when you are a European student at Arthur Hill? It is more than just an experience to be thousands of miles away from home and though to feel like being home, to be far away from friends and though to have so many of them, to be German and though to do things like an American. A year can be long, but this one at Arthur Hill is far too short. Hillites, you gave me a wonderful time. Thanks to all of you. | shall never forget those halls, those games, those assemblies, and those girls, too. But this country, in Europe known as the country with unlimited possibilities, showed me its realities, too. There is a difference between the town Dortmund in the Ruhr Valley and Saginaw in the Saginaw Val- ley. It starts with the sky. Never had | seen so often a blue sky expanding over the country. Germany is famous for rain. The students are not alike, but their problems are similar, though the American youth seems to have greater personal freedom as well as the feeling of responsibility, and much more school spirit and patriotism. This school is the best one | ever saw, not because it has a nice building, and a great stadium but be- cause there are people in this school which are un- forgettable to me. n rom Germany; f Exchange students from Europe ate Wolfgang Ruhwi kel from G y By Wolfgang: Rubwinkel Audrey McNabb, Ireland, Rainer Liehmann, Germany, Gisela Elbert, Ger- : ¥ Exchange student from Dortmund, Germany many; and Hendrik Meijer, Holland. § TMNT ALU SUE iil ae - « ” “ ° . . - a « . s a .
