Mr. Grueber interviews Jan Hendrickson, candidate for Homecoming Queen. The queen and her court look radiant while being honored at the Homecoming Asse Queen Carol Reigns Over Hillites Homecoming is one of the most thrilling traditions at Arthur Hill. The homecoming activities begin with the election of twenty-two girls chosen by the student body. These candidates are then interviewed in spon- taneous conversations at an all school assembly. The following morning students vote for the three girls whom they would like to have as queen and attend- ants. When the royalty is chosen, she and her court are honored at the Homecoming Assembly. They then attend a real battle between the football teams of Flint Central and the fighting Lumberjacks of Arthur Hill. Following the game, the queen and her court are guests of honor at a most memorable home- coming dance. This year’s queen, Carol Raymond, and her court will long be remembered by students, faculty, and alumni. Tears of happiness are shed by Queen Carol and Attendant, Kathy List. 11
