Steve Allen would have found worthy competition for his variety show in our 1957 Band Bounce. We had three dance lines, pantomime acts, singing groups and solos, our own dance band, the school marching band and combined choirs. This Band Bounce, un- der the direction of Mr. Stanley Schubert, Mr. Ralph Grueber, Mr. Kenneth Matthews, Miss Marilyn McBride, and Miss Rachel McMillan, was one neith- er the student performers nor the enraptured audience will forget very soon. Hank Collier, Ted Hummel, Iclo Gouic Lannie Bauer. Guy Moretti, and Bill XX ells Girls Lost!! This year the Student Council again decided to pit the boys against the girls in the annual Student Organization campaign. In the past the girls have almost traditionally won, and the boys have gotten the S.O. Assembly practically down to an art. They chose Icky Gouie as their main theme, which turned out to be a boy who didn't buy an 8.0. and was decapitated and hanged upside down in the main hall for his crime one morning. The girls chose to take their followers on a trip Around the l'Vorld for 36.50 l'Vell, it's all over this year, but perhaps next year it will be another story . . . we'll put our money on the girls! Pandemonium breaks loose as the exciting campaign nears its end
