W' if DEDICATION i We dedicate the i957 Legenda to Chester F. Miller who served as superintendent of the Saginaw public schools for twenty-eight years. His retirement in July, l956, ended a suc- cessful career of educational leadership. We sincerely and grate- fully express our thanks and appreciation to him. Arthur Hill High School and Saginaw High School are monuments to his foresight and planning as both were built under his supervision. Ten other schools in Saginaw: Eddy Junior High, Nelle Haley, Elm, Martha Longstreet, Jessie Rouse, Handley, Morley, Fuerbringer, Potter, Jessie Loomis, plus numer- ous additions, are evidence of his accomplishments. Typical of his response to the interests and needs of youth in this community was his cooperation in raising money through a special bond issue to build the Arthur Hill Swimming Pool which became a reality this year.
