With their kindness and patience we r°ached the fourth grade. We shall never forget the fourth grade, our teachers were Miss Myrtle Peterson and Miss Ruth Beard. With our teachers as coaches of the basketball and softball teams, we had quite a time playing out door sports. We will always remember Miss May and Miss ' Vhitford, our fifth prade teachers. Miss May lead Glee Club, Miss May, Miss McKenny, Mrs. Dempsey and Mrs. Rexton had the pleasure of teaching us during our last years in grammar school and decided wheather or not we were capable of entering high school. In the fall of 19ii7, twentv ambitious but frighten young neorle entered the ninth grade for their first year in high school. All the students were thrilled to be able to climb the steps and change classes for they could then walk uo and down the hall and gossip with their friends. For the first time in our lives we r ' = ' ali7,ed what school really meant to us. ’’. ' .b began to sett Le down when we found we 7rere on our O ' .to. V. ' e were proud to have Mrs. Pendleton as our Homeroom and English teacher. Our principal, basketball coach and Health teacher, was Mr. G. F. Baily and our other teachers were: Mr. Tew, Math teacher; Mrs. Tucker, Science and Home Economics, As it was our first year in high school we had ouite a few difficulties in changing classes at first, but we gradually caught on. Our Sophomore year was a grand year for all of us, ' le enjoyed having Mr. Baily back with us. Mrs. Woods was’ our Homeroom, English and French teacher; Mr, Manning, Am. History teacher; Mr . Zeh, Biology teacher and Mrs. Tew, Home Economics teacher. Wf. were very glad to have Mrs. Tucker teach us Home Economics after Mrs. Tbw left. During our Junior year, we had lots of fun making money for our Junior- Senior Banquet with Mr, Zeh as our advisor. Mr. Baily was still our princi- pal, until he was called back into service and Mr. Joe Tew took his place. Our teachers were: Miss Weathers our Homeroom, English and Algebra teacher; Mr. Koonce, Civics and Mr. Pridcen our General Business teacher. At last we are happy dignified Seniors. Our class has decreased to 11 students, With Miss Weathers and Mr, Koonce as our teachers, we are sure we will succeed.
