( «H FOCUSING ON . . . Spirit You stayed up Almost all night making confetti for the big rally the next day. After all it was class competition and you wanted your class to be the proud owner of a spirit stick. The alarm went off but you slept through it. 45 minutes later an excited parent ran into the room and shouted Wake up. Wake up you ' re gonna be late for school. You jummped out of bed, put your school colors on, and dodged a passing car to make it to the ralley on time Whew. You reach the gym just in time to catch a glimpse of the Pioneer Patrol as they finished their routine. The commissioner of spirit Patty Flowers an- nounced the start of class competition, you scream- ed and yelled so loud, you suffered from laryngitis the entire week. 2 6 Left page: 1.
