Cross Countr runners improve Cross country teams ran in all kinds of weather and proved to be tough competitors. The boys finished with 6-3 record while the girls recorded 1-4-1 . All five girls finished the season. MVP awards went to Maurice johnson and Khalilah Muhammad. Best mental attitude awards were won by Vicente Vasquez and Denita Middlebrooks. Two awards went to Steven Scholl- a medal for three major awards in same and a plaque for five major awards, two in basketball. Khalilah received a plaque for five major awards, too. Other awards included reserve shield to Franklin Ivey and letters to Katrina Cazares, Denita Middlebrooks, Stacey Rosales, Paul George, Brodey Milburn, lllya Thomas, and Herschel Wright. Maurice, Khalilah, and Vicente Vasquez Ill earned their second major cross country award. Leslie Dodson, Mark Mahone, and Marcia lurgesmeyer earned their first major award in a second sport. Stacey Rosales recovers. Steve Scholl, Paul Leorge, Maurice johnson, Vicente Vasquez, and Les Dodson before the fifth place sectional linish. JSE! WEE?

McDavitt, Rapp top swim teams Placing first in the 200 free and 500 free as well as being one of the medley relay top swimmers in the Invitational helped Mathew Rapp win his MVP award. Danyl McDivitt received All City recognition in the 500 free and 200 medley to help win her MVP honors. Rapp was a manager for the girls team. Taking over coaching was Bill Rosenstihl who led the blend of Marshall, Attucks, and Tech boys to a 5-9 record. Second by five points in the Tech Invitational, the boys had a strong N team. The girls also placed second in the 3 City. Other All City swimmers were ' Tammy Alexander, Tracy Clark, jade Robertson, and Dawn Sulver. Earning best mental attitude awards were Herschel Todd Wright and Kristina Craft. The most improved underclassmen were Tracy Clark and .
