Home Economics This year, the Home Economics Department has added two more classes to its list. The Grooming class has more than quadrupled in class size in just one semes- ter. In the first semester there was only one class period; the second semester took four class periods to cover all the enrollments. The Custom Clothing Class, advised by Mrs. Marion Moore, Department Head, consisted of thirteen girls. They were responsible for most of the girls ' dresses in Christmas-in-the-Round— nearly 100 dresses! This was certainly a big load off many of the girls ' mothers and family this year. The Commercial Foods centerpiece added a lovely touch to the principal ' s luncheon. Ten Boggs really gets into the discussion in Family Living. Peep-A-Boo! Publications Pursue Progress As scattered feet hurry across the floor, everyone ' s running around try- ing to meet deadlines. Busy little hands are pecking away at the type- writer, pencils, and rulers are being used and reused. That ' s how it usually looks in the Cannon Office, most of the time. Everyday is a busy day for both Newspaper and Yearbook staffers. Hard work and many efforts are set forth to get the publications finished. Although everyone is busy throughout the year, and even though we often get tired and sometimes are discour- aged, when we see our final publica- tions, we all know that it ' s been a good, worthwhile year.
