Straighten those arms out! Pick up those knees! These are familiar words to the Titanettes who practice every day during the ninth hour and after school. The Titanettes, headed by three captains who are Pam Alcorn, Sandy Hannemann, and Darlene Woods, have had an exciting year. They performed at every home game; pre-game and half-time. They also appeared at Market Square in December for the Tech v. Mooresville game. Being a Titanette is a lot of hard work and discipline, but it is more than worth it. They entertain at schools and P.T.A. meetings. This year the band is composed of the most ambitious and talented players ever. They play all types of music that is liked by both young and old. Director Lee Barricklow has great expectations for the band. He is hop- ing for a first place at contest. Stage Band performs at Open House. Brian Osborn, Caren Stinger, and David Bruer study their notes.
