JOE BURTON, Steve Scott, and Nathan Harris do their daily workout. Cross Country runners build surprisin season Starting with almost nothing, a coach's dream came true this year for Bruce McGeath, head coach of the Varsity Cross Country Team. With only one returning letterman, and two men who had never run cross country before this year, Mr. McGeath put together a successful team. The Varsity Hnished the 74 season with 52 wins and 35 losses. They placed 3rd in the City and 6th in the Sectional. Running in three big invitationals, Tech finished 6th at Washington, 12th at Southport, and 12th at Columbus. At the sound of the whistle hundreds of kids from nearby homes and children's homes dashed for- ward to find the pounds of multi-colored eggs hidden over the broad field. Service Club was there co-sponsoring the Easter Egg Hunt at Sycamore Park. The smiling faces of toddlers shouting, I found one! and the discouraged faces of those who didn't, registered the high's and low's of the event. The members tried their best to help find the well hidden eggs. Finally, after all the eggs were found there was a drawing of tickets, with piizes for the lucky winners.
