NOT PICTURED, David Cart. In the groove and on the move! THE HART BEAT is great, Roger A-O.K. TECH BAND LOOKS on as the Titans push through to victory. In the groove and on the move de- scribes this year's Tech Marching Band. Along with putting on magnificient half time shows at the football games, the Tech Marching Band was proud to be a part of some extra activities. The March- ing Band, performed with many other in- ner city high school bands at the dedi- cation of the new Market Square Arena. They also performed with over 30 bands at the Ball State University High School Band Day. Following the Ball State Uni- versity Band Day they were the proud achievers of a second place at the ISMA Marching Band Contest.They also brought a second place in over-all inspection. The whole marching band put in an extra two weeks of summer band prac- tice. Along with this, Senior Drum Major, David Carr and Junior Drum Major, Vickie O'Neill participated for a week at Smith Walbridge Drum Major Camp. Band Director, Lee Barricklow, also put in a little extra time this summer as he was a teacher at Smith Walbridge Band Camp.. The band summed up their season with a Football Highlights Show which included songs from previous games, per- formances from the Titanettes and awards being presented to one year mem- bers, two year members and seniors.
