Tech ranked highest of city FL school Tech, the highest ranked city high school in the National Forensic League! Mrs. Alice Goodrum coaches a team of 60 members, who sacrifice their Satur- days to compete against thirty different people in three or four rounds a day in order to represent Tech in the finals. That's competition against about 40 stu- dents, and of those 40, only five students receive ribbons in their category. Of course not everyone walks away with a ribbon, but they do receive NFL points for placing in each round. Need- less to say, it takes a lot of courage and determination to continue competition against so many students on so many Sat- urdays. Apparently the students ARE determined, for of the 60 members of the Tech Speech Team, 50 have become National Forensic League members. SPEECH TEAM-FRONT ROW: Don Applegate, Mike Thomas, Kathy J.
