fn mf W 7mm business as usual goes on in Techtown. All year long, advertising classes and salesmanship groups are occupied with keeping wares and activities before the Techtown public. Books, pencils, hairnets, pennants, knick-knacks, and tablets are only a few of the many items to be found in our own variety store -the Tech Book Store. Banking is centered in the Financial Office where our patriotic citizens buy their War Bonds and Stamps and tickets for athletic games, and where various organizations in Techtown deposit their funds. The telephone system, the hub in the wheel of our business life, with lines reaching to our fifteen buildings, has its exchange in the Main Office. Perhaps the business activities of the lunchrooms are those most favorably received by our citizens, and despite difficult problems connected with rationing, we can still get good food that's good for us. 'Business as usual at Techtown means working from 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon to keep our town running smoothly. 18
