Youth! To Mr. Bourne, our late Dean of Boys, we were the coun- try's greatest potential. Because he had faith in us, he dedicated his life to us . This warm and sym- pathetic educator gave of himself . Meeting and talking with him gave one a good feeling, for he had a real affection for people. This yearbook, besides all the memories it holds for every Arroyo student, is itself in mem- ory of Carolyn Jones. Her pride in her school, her interest in learning,-her quiet and friendly ways, and her participation in various activities combined to make Carolyn a well-liked junior at Arroyo. She was a member of the Megaphone Club, the Art Club, the Don Beat Staff, and Junior Class council. She was also active in non-school organi- zations including Jobs Daughters and the San Lorenzo Community Church. Surely Carolyn Jones will never be forgotten by her classmates and friends at Arroyo. To Carolyn Jones this book stands as a memorial. Z- -UJOZIHZ
