Future Nurses Club The Future Nurses Club is one of the most active organizations on campus. The club's primary function is to acquaint students in- terested in nursing with the qualities, preparation, advantages and other important information about the profession. The club toured nursing schools in San Francisco last November, staying two nights at the Olympic Hotel. For its Christmas project the group gathered clothing to outfit the new baby of the C. S. F. needy family project. ln the spring, trips through the S. L. O. General Hospitals and Knapps Nursing School and Hillside House were made. Future Homemakers The purposes of the Future Homemakers of America are to promote better family living, to help members understand the opportunities open to them in the field of home economics, and to understand our neighbors both home and abroad. The club also provides training of each chapter for participation in home, school, and community life. During the year the F. H.A. sewed clothes for the Christmas needy family project, con- ducted several activities with the F.F.A., and sold shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day as well as other concessions. ln May the group held its annual Mother-Daughter Potluck dinner. The A.G.U.H.S. branch ofthe National Thespian Society is an ed- ucational honor and service organi- zation established for the advancement of dramatic arts. The group seeks to create an active and intelligent interest as well as to advance the excellence in all phases of dramatic arts. Members are selected from those students who have l0O hours of work in the Drama field. The Thespians presented three one- act plays as well as a Fashion Show during the year.
