They were Marie Culler, Leona Keckler, Ruth Blair, Paul Peckham, Earl Pickett, Norman Prettyman and Fred Cory. The officers for the term were Leona Keckler, president, Paul Peckham, vice president and Marie Culler, secretary and treasurer. We were active in basket ball that year, Paul, Fred and Nor- man being on the boy's team, while Leona, Ruth and Marie were on the girls' first team. In the fall of 1923, there were nine Sophomores, Mary Eller and Rossie Wheeler having enrolled, Leona Keckler, president, Ruth Blair, vice pres- ident and Norman Prettyman, secretary. We were active in basket ball this year, and our social ability was proved by the St. Valentine's party at which we entertained the high school students and the school faculty. In 1924 the Juniors had an enrollment of five but this number was re- duced to four shortly after Christmas when Mary Eller left. Although We were small in number, we took an active part in the affairs of our school. Three of our members were on the basket ball team, Paul and Leona being forwards on their respective teams and Ruth jump-center Two of our members were on the literary team, Leona for declamation and Ruth for short story. Five Seniors enrolled in 1925. Oscar Smith and Harold Wllliamsjoining our group of thi ee, Oscar came from Lincoln school and Harold from Otis Colorado. The latter left at the close of the first semester and four re- mained to complete the term. Despite the fact that we were the smallest class in either Junior or Sen- ior high, We have been one of the most activein its affairs. Leona Keckler and Ruth Blair played on the girl's basket ball team and Paul and Oscar were reliables for the boys' team. Leona, Ruth and Oscar tried out for literary and Oscar is also on the track team. Last fall a Student Council was organized and Leona has been president during this, the organization's first year. Paul and Ruth were the Senior representatives on the council. Paul, Leona and Ruth took the Journalism course and were members of the Arriban staff, Leona was Editor-in-chief, Ruth assistant and Paul athletic editor. We were represented in the Commercial department by Paul, Leona and Ruth, they were members of the bookkeeping class. Oscar is a student in mechanical drawing and manual training and has made many useful and attractive articles of furniture. Ruth Blair was editor-in-chief and Paul acted as business manager of the Annual. As we neared the close of the year, we came to realize more and more that it is not quantity but quality that determines the value of a class. Although we were very busy at the close of the year, we were glad to respond to duty's call because we knew that by so doing we are laboring for A. H. S.
