As Chip Corwin a handsome young lawyer who presently manages the foundation is explaining her new duties. Mrs. Delehanty. a kookie old lady appears, begging Dody to remove the Foundation’s support from the college and give it instead to her Institute Investigating Psychic Phenomena. Murdock Faversham, who will head the Institute, is brought in and conducts a sample seance, during which Dody, participating against her better judgement, becomes possessed! Chip tries every available means to have Dody's devil exorcised but to no avail. Speaking intermittently with a man’s voice Dody intends to remove the financial support forcing the college to close and worse, she has fallen in love with Murdock. Chip counters with desperate measures to have the college and win back Dody’s love. During a hilarious exorcism, several surprising occurrences reverse the course of events. Periodically Mountain Maggie, a legendary character who travels around the hills nursing the sick, must come to patch up someone hurt in the feud. Rosie Belle Fry, being handy with a gun, takes the only unattached male in the hills from under her sister Emmy’s nose. Emmy, who'd like to get “hitched,” decides she’ll end up as an old maid if she doesn’t get one of the Popoff boys. But how can she marry someone with whom her family is having a feud? She enlists the aid of Mountain Maggie, who’s tired of tending to victims of the feud, to put an end to it. Mountain Maggie, wise in the ways of human nature, convinces Maw Fry and Pappy Popoff that some plain sugar water she gives them is a “love potion” which will make them fall in love. They are tired of being lonely and have just about decided to marry and end the feud, when Rosie Belle arrives with the news that it was all a trick. Once more the feud is going full force. In the end, of course, the feud is ended and everybody is happy, but not before there are quite a few merry mixups and ribtickling situations. 21 The gang is altogether The Story It is Christmas Eve. An airplane carrying five passengers is hit by an unpredicted snow storm. The Stewardess. Miss Lee. and the Pilot. Captain Richardson, inform the passengers that they are in no great danger, but as the storm gams in violence, a crash landing is necessary. The passengers, led by the Captain, leave the plane and search for shelter from the storm. All members of the party express their disillusionment concerning Christmas. Each person recalls childhood experiences which represent each of the four keys to Christmas, the joy of working together; doing things for others; the warmth of the family; and worship. With these four keys, the child. Jimmy, unlocks the door to the true meaning of Christmas-love. Everyone regains the lost spirit of the true meaning of Christmas. Mr Stevens gives a pep talk. They also gave the Junior-Senior Prom, which turned out to be one of the best. Keep up the good work juniors! The sophomores are just getting started. The first six weeks or so were pretty smooth sailing. Somewhere around Thanksgiving and Christmas we began to hit some choppy water as our work became harder. Then in the middle of school we were faced with harder work, extremely cold weather, and yes, we enjoyed our winter vacation. As we moved into our final days in the fourth grade, we had survived in spite of broken bones, lumps here and there, division and fractions, and we looked forward to a “Happy Summer. This class is busy selling ads, putting the coronation together, selling annuals, taking pictures, and helping during picture days. The class draws the layouts for the annual itself. Each girl is assigned a certain section of the annual. Being in annual class is enjoyable and it is a class in which you can learn a lot about putting things together. To be in 4-H you fill out a form that states what you would like to do such as work with animals, Home Economics, fashion, and many other things. For charity they collect money and they collect discarded aluminum cans. With all the things they do they still have time to give speech demonstrations.
