To that end, requireds should be viewed as mere- ly a temporary expedient to introduce you to opportunities that are offered. An education should develop in each individual the knowledge, interests, ideals, habits, and powers whereby he will find his place in society and use that place to shape both himself and society toward nobler things. 1 sincerely hope that when a student finishes school here at Arnett that it isn't the end of his education, but only a beginning. I would like to leave you with this thought. While climbing up the ladder of success you must take the first step--and to many the Arnett Elementary School is where they took their first successful step. S. C. This is both a happy and a sad occasion. Happy in that a completely new future is open to us--one with many challenges into which we are ready to step as young adults. Sad in that we are leaving behind us the carefree life we spent as youths at Arnett High. It is with these thoughts that we join together in wishing you--our teachers, friends, and fellow classmates--a fond farewell. The Seniors WILDCAT BOOSTERS ARNETT HIGGINS Mr. £• Mrs. Owen W.
