DEDICATION Because you deny yourself so that we may have that which you did not have; Because you desire for us the higher and finer things of life; Because you understand when all our world goes wrong; Because you love us in spite of our shortcomings; And, because we want to express our love and appreciation. We, the students of Arnett High School, dedicate this volume of our annual to you----------OUR PARENTS.

SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE Dear Seniors: This annual is one of the many traditions of out American system of edu- cation. It's importance to you will increase with the passing of the years. As you go through life 1 hope that you always remember the other tra - ditions and teachings of a free America. Keep in touch with your schools. Give freely of your time and money to insure a strong and better America through better schools and better trained youth. My best wishes to all of you. Yours truly, D. D. Creech PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Of all the possessions accumulated by a student throughout his school years, there is none equal to the School Yearbook. None other has the affection- ate qualities of recall to the good times and the trying times spent in the Arnett School. A ring, a jacket, a certificate, are fine to represent particular activities. However, they fall far short of returning one, in memory, to the over-all activities of our school days. For this reason, I feel the Senior Class, their Sponsors, and more especially the Annual Staff are to be commended for their time and efforts in organizing for us this 1956 Yearbook. Sincerely, A. H. Woods
