0l 6lfUOI Here, within the confines of the Senior Garden and around the Senior Well, is the Class of 1960 gathered for its last fare- well photo, a beautiful memento which the passing years will make more priceless. It is a class of outstanding and colorful personalities, individualists to the coreg a class of leaders and athletes and actors. It is a class that has stayed together for many years and has pulled together and shared its victories and its disappointments with a oneness of unity seldom matched by other previous graduating classes, It is a class of strong loyalties and one that has displayed determination and strength. Under the guidance of its adviser, john R. Maffucci, and its class officers, it has left a record of achievement that places it with the best all-time graduating classes of this Academy. Gentlemen of the Class of 1960: It has been my experience that periodically there passes through the Senior Gate an outstanding class among all other classes-such is the case with this. your Class of 1960. Long ago I learned that a student body is as good as its Senior Class. I give you gentlemen of the Class of 1960 just credit for giving us the finest student body I have ever known. These are not mere words, gentlemen, it is a statement of a true fact. Since I know that you have been responsible for this, I express to you my deep- est appreciation and lasting gratitude. Your work in directing and guiding others will not end when you pass through the Senior Gate on june Sth- rather, it will be but the beginning. You will have an opportunity in college to do a similar job, and in life, itself, you will always have the opportunity and a chal- lenge, too, to lead and guide others in the right way of life. I have complete faith in you and know that you will accept any challenge that comes your way in helping others to make this a better world for all of us. In so doing you will reflect credit upon yourself, your parents, and your Alma Mater. God bless you, my young friends. Alfectionately, XV. C. Atkinson, President Colonel, ANA Colonel William C.
