THE NINETEEN HUNDRED AND THIRTY EIGHT ADJUTANT FEIREWCIRD The aim of the 1938 Adjutant is not to detail the hap- penings of an eventful year, but rather to catch the glimpses of all those happenings, so that in the future these words and pictures may awaken fond and intimate memories, thus cap- tivating again, as in the days gone by the true and indomitable spirit of the San Diego Army and Navy Academy--a spirit that will make you live again many of your golden hours. This, then, will make long ago not so far away. My Message to You: I want to extend to the Cadets of the San Diego Army and Navy Academy my hearty congratulations for a record of achievement which is so fitly summarized and exemplified by this beautiful Year Book.
