1974 RESUME Armstrong Township High School Armstrong, Illinois V 2 3 Len Stuby March 3, 1974 Death is never easy, it is always a shock and is always hard to face. But it is especially hard to accept in a teacher and friend. For death forces us to examine ourselves— to do some soul-searching and thinking about what we're here for, what is life for. What does it mean? So began the memorial services for one of our teachers, Len Stuby. Little more need be said as to how deeply it affected us all- the students, the faculty, the administration, and the friends at ATHS. 4 5 Driver Education Students Showing Their Projects Spanish Classes At Work 10 Industrial Arts Students at Work on Their Projects 11 Drama and Speech Students Spend Long Hours Practicing Music Students’ Practice During Free Periods History And Civics Students Work on Current Events Graduating Class oj 1974 Rick Albers Sherrill Boatz Russell Brooks Jane Buck Mike Buck Steve Buck Diane Buhr Cheryl Camp Liz Casper Randy Cler Leslie Ewing Mary Hannagan Jim Cremeens Pam Frerichs Lynne Hansbraugh Dean Davies Candi Handley Pam Reynolds Hayes 17 Seniors of 1974 Melinda Hinrichs Tom Keener Shari Knoll Joyce Hoveln Mary Kent Charles Koonce Marlys Johnson Becky King Cindy Koonce 18 Joe Kuchenbrod Mark Loschen Penny Miller Cindy Loschen Katy Marron Jerry Olson Gary Loschen Cindy Miles Cheryl Roberts 19 Seniors . . In addi - tion to the four pictured were Diary of Anne Frank, and Ugly Duckling. Because of the six scenes, scenery had to be changed for each one. Susie Miles, Becky Ackerman, and Dean Davies did a fine job of changing scenery as well as entertaining the audience with their comic antics. Each scene was cast and directed by a student from the acting class under the supervision of our student teacher. Miss Grennan and Mrs. Rohrback. Aaron Sieberns ouickly fouled Brouillet and the Comets’ forward converted two free throws. Four seconds remained. Dave Ludwig took the in- bounds pass and hoiked the ball downco rt. McFihoe grabbed the lone pass, drib- bled once and hit the shot at the buzzer to establish the scoring mark. In heroic fashion he was carried off the floor on his teammates’ shoulders. “Coach (Bob) Bezely told me with about a minute left that I had a crack at the record. I didn’t realize at the time that I had that many points,” said McElhoe. “I’m really tired, but I feel —____k i
