MESSAGE Guidance may be defined as the assistance given to students in the solution of problems that lay outside the area of classroom situations. A guidance department must be conscious of student problems; problems of occupational selection, college choice, study habits, course of study planning, adjusting to high school, and preparing to meet the problems of college or oc- cupational adjustment . It is a service for the students. A testing program is set up so the students may know their capabilities and define their interests. Information is available on any college , university or trade school, occupations from artist to zoologists, study habits, howto apply for jobs, what employers expect, and many other areas. Guidance must not imply the direction of a student's choices but rather to help the student take the responsibility of self- direction. front row, left to right; edgar hoveln harold hines, bill isenhower, phil heuer. back row; karen sjoken, anna Zimmerman, linda murell, larry boten. thelma saathoff, jim norville, mary hedrick. dennis saathoff, sharon leverich, norman logan, martha hedrick. eldon huls, rosemary greer, ken moffett, becky vinson, carolyn pflugmacher. dick crowe, kay ludwig. susan johnson. clockwise: donna atkins, mary hedrick, charlene cole, shirley howell, janet apland, rosemary Stevenson, jim wernigk, jeff blackford, bill ellett, Steve ludwig, anita fourez, jimmie tucker, lorene hesterburg, larry boten, dale johnson, duane schluter, gary lugwig, butch owen, john obenland, darlene osterbur, sheila marron, anna Zimmerman, janice parsons, joanne dewey, karen rollings, louise wernigk, phyllis tempero, barbara Cunningham, martha hedrick, sandy hanover, gaye snyder, thelma sathoff, linda atkins. across: joyce davies, becky maxwell, sandy reynolds, mr. knudson, conductor; kay ludwig. john davis, phil watson, donna doran. first row. left to right: edith murrell, margaret powell, judy husted, louise wernigk, rosemary Stevenson, lois doehring, gaye snyder, janet husted, deloris mendal, janice duden. second row, left to right: janet apland, carol cornell, shirley howell, linda murrell, joyce davies, charlene cole, sandy reynolds, donna atkins, carolyn rademacher, janice parsons, third row, left to right: mildred wilken, susan johnson, kay ludwig, sharon cain, lorene hesterberg. fourth row; left to right: james dorsey, phil heuer, gary ludwig, john goldenstein, rebecca maxwell, karen sjoken, anna Zimmerman, wayne hale, james wernigk, paul logan. fifth row, left to right: john smith, bill ellett, ronny thorton, Steve ludwig, tom jarboe, Steve ahlf, jeff blackford, john davis, arthur avery. sixth row, left to right: dick poyner, mike jarboe, jim johnson, herman avery, calvin owen, harold hines, bill isenhower, otto avery, dwight severs. first row. left to right, yvonne frye, shirley howell. sharon husted, deloris mendal, harlene cole, edith murrell, joyce davies. second row, left to right, sharon cain, sandy reynolds, margaret powell, rose- mary Stevenson, janice duden. gaye snyder, donna atkins. lois doehring. third row. left to right, lorene hesterberg, jimmie nell tucker, anna rae Zimmerman, bonnie frye, darlene osterbur, rebecca maxwell, sandy sheehan, joanne dewey, donna doran. s e x t e t t e left to right: anna Zimmerman, karen sjoken, jimmie n.tucker, linda murrell, becky maxwell, joyce davies. mr. hulfachor, john davis, bill isenhower, bryce Vermillion, harold hines, allan watson, ken moffett, gary saathoff, gary ludwig, jim dorsey, ronnie thornton, john smith Steve ahlf. tom jarboe, Charles clementz, tom jarboe, john goldenstein. back row: ronnie turner, alien watson, m ic h a e 1 jarboe, duane schulter. second row: mr. savini mrs. goodin, angie gorden, janice duden, joanne dewey, janet apland mr. stagen. first row: johnnie davis, lois doehring, mr. knudson. class ring sandy renolds donna doran dale johnson back row: dale j oh ns on. donna doran, curt ellet, denace mizell, garyludwig, dick poyner, jim wernigk, joannedewey, carolyn buck, first row: jim dorsey, charlene cole, jimmie nell tucker, linda atkins, sandy re ynolds, lorene hesterberg. back row; donna doran. lorene hesterberg, jim dorsey, dale johnson. first row: sandy rey- nolds. miss america cheese billy armstrong first five 1957 deacon first row: john davis, ken moffett, bryce vermillion, dwight severs, bill isenhower. second row: dick crowe, john blue, larry frerichs, duane schluter, harold hines, coach bezely. bill isenhower john blue advertisement Port ra I ts Wedding Pictures Family Group Pictures School Pictures Photographers For This Yearbook SUDLOW STUDIO Danville, Illinois iMHUWWW Phone YU 7-2136 S IMPLEMENT COMPANY Potomac Illinois Sales and Service Comp Ii ments of standard Batter ies-Accessor i es Gas-Ti res-Tubes-Oi1 Wash i ng-Lubr i cat i on STANDARD SERVICE DAVIS GRAIN COMPANY Phone PR 6-3255 Robert L.
