Dedication Time marches on; years relentlessly pass; And now we have The Senior Class Of 55 and a yearbook too To dedicate to our farmers true. To them we say both great and small-- You're always ready to answer a call From a person in need; You are a friend to all. You are up bright and early With the rising sun Working on till the day is done. You are more than willing To help repay Any favors received along life's way. You are always lending a helping hand, For we boys and girls, you understand, Have had our problems; we must say That you have been backing us every day. And as you go about your daily task You have given us more Than we ever should ask With your love and devotion You have been most sincere, As we carried on our four years here. And as this year wanes and comes to a close, We will cherish the memory of you, Our dear farmer friends In the days gone by. And the way you have helped Us at Armstrong High. And we salute you Till the setting sun In appreciation of what you have done. 2 --Gladys Boggess

Occi 'P’tutccfral It is with a great deal of sincere appreciation that I again have the privilege of making a few statements to the students of the Armstrong Town- ship High School, their parents, and other patrons. During these days and years of somewhat uncertainty for our students as they leave high school, I might remind them of the purpose of education; namely, the making of good citizens--morally, socially, economically, politically--by giving each student the opportunity to satisfy his needs, in- terests, and abilities. This purpose should be fundamental in the expres- sion of the peoples' desires for their schools, in the schoolboards regula- tions on various aspects of the educational system, and in the educator's operation of the school itself. May time prove young friends, that we in the driver's seat have steered you along the straight, durable roads that will lead to happy, useful lives. And as you mature may you carry the torch on to still greater heights. J. Benj. Walrich
