IIAWAIIAN NIGHT. Hawaii was transplanted lo Armstrong College Auditorium on .luly 17, 1953. Students and fac- ulty lllCllllJCl'H came dressed in colorful printed dresses and shirts, surongs, and mumoos. Every- one danced lo the rhythm of swaying palm trees, the soft strums of ukulclcs, and the music of Murray Peterson. A typical I-lawaiian program highlighted the dance with group songs and hula dances. Orchid-decked tables yielded pineapple punch to all. At 12 midnight, with a few lighted electric hulhs at the ceiling simulating the stars above Waikiki, everyone hid ualohaw to the exotic Poly- nesian night, which came to Armst1'on,f,5 College. .n K. :Nfl x L 1 il,
