JIJNIUIQ DIQIZE SPEAKING Although participation in Iunior Prize Speaking was voluntary this year, thirty-tive juniors entered the contest. Of these contestants who took part in the try-outs on March 15 and 16, eighteen were chosen for the semi-finals. Miss Flaherty, Mr. Miller, and Mr. Muir acted as judges with Mr. Watkins. The semi-finals took place on Friday, March 24. From the eighteen speakers ten were chosen to represent the Iunior Class in the finals. Those acting as judges were Mr. Watkins, Miss Chase. and Mr. Miller. The public exhibition was held in Science Hall on the evening of March 31 and was keenly enjoyed by an audience which filled the auditorium and balcony nearly to capacity.
